If you’ve ever tried to book a nonstop flight out of Boston, you know that finding one that fits your schedule AND is reasonably priced can be difficult. There aren’t exactly a ton of options for faraway destinations. Which is why Logan Airport has made a push in the last few years to get more nonstop routes added it its offerings, in an effort to attract more business travelers and tourists.
So, when Cathay Pacific announced a new nonstop route from Boston to Hong Kong earlier this year, it was pretty big news. Over the weekend, Nicole and I were invited to celebrate the new offering (if you live in Boston, there’s a good chance you were there with us, since both events were sold out!).
On Friday night, I headed to Red Lantern for the first celebration. When I walked in, I was immediately handed a cocktail and directed to the “Red envelope” game, where each partygoer drew a red envelope for the chance to win all sorts of prizes. I won a stuffed goat (because it’s the Year of the Goat), which I figured my dog would be obsessed with, so I considered it an excellent prize. The night was off to a good start. While I was waiting in line to draw my envelope, I became completely fascinated with the Shanghai jazz singer that was our entertainment for the night, and the sheer volume of dumplings in the room (which I later ate my weight in). I spent the end of the night taking full advantage of the photo booth…
Nicole attended a second fete for the new route on Saturday at the Boston Cyclorama. If you’re not familiar with the space, it’s huge and beautiful, and it was jam-packed with excited college students who celebrated with a Chinese-inspired dinner, a fortune teller …. and a photo booth!
While we both clearly enjoyed a chance to pose to the camera, the most exciting part of the night was that everyone who attended was entered to win two round trip tickets on the new flight from Boston to Hong Kong. And, because we’re all about sharing the love, we’re giving you the chance to win those tickets, too!
All you need to do is join the CX Ambassadors Advocate Program, which is super easy and leave a comment below about why you want to win the tickets. A winner will be chosen from our entries, and will then be entered into the final drawing for the tickets later this month.
Good luck, and if you win, please bring us back a souvenir.
