Have you ever walked into a store and instantly thought to yourself, “I need to live here”? I feel that way any time I visit BoConcept. The chic, ultra-contemporary aesthetic of the store is exactly the way I plan to decorate the penthouse apartment I will one day own in the center of some major city. (#Goals).
If you’re unfamiliar with BoConcept and you’re a fan of modern, Danish design then I advise you to run, don’t walk … and if you’re a longtime fan like I am, you’re probably going to drool over brand’s latest collection (just warning you in case you’re wearing a good shirt). I got a chance to tour all things new with one of BoConcept’s in-house interior designers over the weekend, and in addition to lots of ooh-ing and aah-ing, she pointed out a few trends and ideas from the new collection that are perfect for spring. Check them out, below.
Form & Function. I say “spring” you say …? If you said “cleaning,” you might want to consider investing in functional furniture this year, which is designed to help you get and stay organized. Example A: This storage bed, which comes equipped with a hidden spot to stash your out of season boots and sweaters.
Re-accessorize. Spring is a season of renewal, so it’s only natural to want to refresh your space. A great way to give a room a spring vibe without spending a ton of time and money is to simply re-accessorize with lighter, brighter pieces, like colorful throw pillows, new wall art, or a vignette of white vases.
Mix Metallics. Mixed metallics are a huge trend in décor for spring. Silver and gold are classic, but the real design star this season is warm hues of copper and rose gold, like this super-chic arched floor lamp.
Bring the outdoors in. Nothing says spring like a gorgeous bouquet of flowers … which is why vases were a plentiful part of BoConcept’s spring accessories collection. I took home a gorgeous quilted black vase and filled it with flowers, which instantly brightened up my coffee table vignette.
Love what you see? Catch glimpses of the rest of BoConcept’s spring collection in their new action film, aka ad campaign, The Fight, at BoConcept.us, or visit one of the stores (they have locations around the U.S including Boston, Seattle, and lots more!) where one of their staff designers can give you a tour of your own!
