Don’t I look so peaceful in this photo? J/K, I will only ever be able to fantasize about eyebrows that perfect.
Anyway, as part of my duties as the Copley Place Style Setter, I’m tasked with staying on top of all that’s new and exciting at the mall (how does that saying go? It’s hard work but somebody’s got to do it?) My most recent news: A new spa just opened in a store in the mall that I love. First of all, you will probably be surprised to find out that I love Soft Surroundings. While the clothes in the store aren’t really my style (which actually means they’re merchandising appropriately, since they target a Baby Boomer-ish customer), I’m very into the home furnishings the store sells (they’re feminine, romantic and unique), as well as their beauty products (they carry brands like Bliss, Stila and Vincent Longo).
Also, the idea for a spa in a store that sells beauty products is actually a pretty great one. Soft Surroundings’ in-store spa, called The Renewal Room, will offer everything from stress-relieving facials, to body wraps and waxing, and many of the products used by the aesthetician are all available for purchase in the store, so if you find something that works great on your skin, you can take it home with you. The primary thought behind the Renewal Room was simplification. “We are all about helping women to take time for themselves but we know they are busy, so we bring everything we can to them!” says Jessica Conick, a PR rep for the company.
I’m heading in for my first facial there next week, and I will be sure to report back on the results!
