The color of the year is Rose Quartz, and there is no better month to rock this rosy hue, and it’s pink fellows, than February. While red is the obvious choice for the romantic holiday, we partnered with Rent the Runway to learn the best way to be pretty in pink this year. Let’s get rosy!
The color pink is the color of universal love of oneself and of others. Pink represents friendship, affection and inner peace, making it the perfect color to wear on Valentine’s Day whether you’re on a first date, 100th date or just out with the girls. But finding the right shade of pink and style for your outfit is a little trickier.
Rent the Runway Chicago keeps a wide range of rosy frocks on hand, and we worked with them to find the best outfits for our big night out. Then, we spend a morning lounging on the Interior Define couches, so we can promise that these styles are comfortable as well as cute!
For those with ivory undertones (like Ali) rose, fuchsia and blush tones helps put your gorgeous Snow White-esque fair skin and ebony hair on full display.
And if you have a bit more golden, or even pink, in your skin (like me) bolder pinks like hot pink and coral are the best for you. Blush is also an option, but be more careful about choosing this shade if you have blonde hair, as it works better with dark hair.
