Between the summer sun and my futile yet blindly persistent efforts to flat-iron the frizz out of my hair on humid days, the end of July is when my hair is at its worst. Recently, though, I was at a luncheon sponsored by Her Royal Highness of Hair, also known as Moroccanoil, and I got sent home with – gasp – their full line of hair products. And yes, they’re as awesome as you’ve heard.
While the shampoo and conditioner are great, what really makes a different is the actual oil treatment– this stuff works wonders. It’s easy to use–just put a small amount in your hair after towel-drying– and it leaves your hair feeling soft and smelling phenomenal (an added bonus). The only advice I would give is to keep it away from your roots, and–if you have sensitive skin like I do–to wash your face after using it to prevent breakouts and irritation.
The other product I received, which comes in at a close second to the oil, is the frizz treatment. I have fine hair, so I can’t use the oil and the frizz treatment on the same day (though the combo may very well be a lifesaver for gals with coarse or curly hair). This is great for days you don’t use the oil treatment and it keeps flyaways at bay (my main problem).
The product line is a little pricey (about $18-$60), and it’s only available at salons and spas, but you better believe I’ll be purchasing the oil and frizz control products again once my gratis bottles run out. (The shampoo and conditioner I probably won’t replace, since I think there are a lot of lines out there that work just as well for less money). Happy hairstyling!
