We always love showing our fellow bloggers support, and no one is more deserving of that than Nicole Regan from Chicago’s Cedar & Rush! A fellow foodie and lover of sparkly somethings, her Gift Dish has us set on a 2015 planner as well as more creative and personal gift ideas for the holidays this year…
WHAT IS ONE THING YOU CAN’T WAIT TO GIVE THIS HOLIDAY?
A photo book of a trip to Italy for my parents! They took me and my husband to Rome and Sorrento 2 years ago and I am excited to put the photos together where they will actually be seen. It is so fun to go back and relive great memories. Plus parents love that stuff! I am also starting an Advent Calendar tradition this year for my 6 month old God-Daughter. My aunt sent me one every year until I was 21 so I can’t wait to pass on this fun Christmas ritual!
WHAT IS ONE ON YOUR OWN WISH LIST?
The Emily Ley 2015 Simplified Planner – this agenda changed my life in 2014. Talk about how to get sh*t done. It is beautiful and incorporates both business and every day life. My favorite part is the introduction, which tells you how to use the planner and make the most of your days. It is a little pricey but worth every penny.
WHAT’S THE BEST GIFT YOU’VE EVER GIVEN?
One recent gift that sticks out is treating my Mom to Tiffin (aka Tea) at the Langham Hotel. Tea is a much longer and relaxing process than a dinner or lunch. And nothing beats the gift of time with loved ones. We had the best time and the decor in The Langham is breath taking. Not to mention the food and tea is wonderful. We also enjoyed a glass of champagne. The outing made my mom feel so special and one-on-one quality time with her is priceless.
AND THE BEST GIFT YOU’VE EVER RECEIVED?
My mom made me a cook book on Shutterfly encompassing all of my favorite childhood recipes from family and friends. She even took photos of the people holding their corresponding dish. I will keep it forever and refer to it all the time! I also love the little luxury gifts such as Kate Spade studs, Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deodorant (sounds weird but you smell amazing!), Chanel nail polish and a Diptyque Candle. My friends know me well.
