So I’ve recently stumbled upon a closet game-changer. Think comfy, and colorful, chic and warm: what do ya get? A poncho, my friends! This early 2000’s trend has recently resurfaced and has been met with a mixtures of skepticism and excitement. Gone are my tank tops, banished are my low-rise jeans, and welcome is anything that can hide my addiction to cheese and carbs, plus keep me cozy at the same time. Though, as much as we all love a good grandpa sweater, there’s always that concern of looking, you know, kind of like a grandpa in a sweater.
So to bask in the final stretch of fall, I recently adventured to a charming apple orchard with my best friend who doubles as a photography wizard to show you exactly how to wear this trend and not let this trend wear you. I paired said poncho over a neutral cowl neck sweater, threw on some over-the-knee boots and trampled through orchards of apples quite cozily.
While my $39 poncho is more of a fall staple with it’s vibrant orange and blue hues, I’ve linked some ponchos that will transition perfectly into winter if you’re equally as obsessed with comfort + style.
