That’s the sound of wedding bells in the distance. Because it’s April, and it’s time for bachelorette parties, fondant icing, and a new Rent the Runway package appearing on your doorstep every weekend. Also known as wedding season.
Personally, I love wedding season. It’s a great reason to get dressed up, break out my best dance moves (let me teach you how to Dougie), and see all my friends in one place, and if I have to spend a few hundred dollars on Crate & Barrel wine glasses and DryBar blowouts in the process, I think it’s more than a fair trade.
To kick off this season of love, this month were talking all things I Do, whether you’re planning a wedding, standing up in one, or simply going as a guest. We’ll be introducing you to our favorite wedding professionals, checking out some of the best new dresses for 2015, reviewing the rules of wedding etiquette, and more.
Now, to get us all excited about just how much fun we’re all going to have celebrating marriage this year, I’ve decided to share a few of my very best moments from weddings I’ve attended in the past. Not to brag, but …. #LifeoftheParty.
…Here I am at my friend Steph’s wedding with my husband in 2013.
And in a fierce dance battle at my other friend Steph’s wedding last October.
My husband and I, again. Thanks to our friends for still inviting us to your weddings.
The afterparty for my friend Laura’s wedding last year. Love a good afterparty.
And here, with some of my college BFFs at our friend Kim’s Big Day last May. (You know it’s a good party when every single guest is sweaty).
Ruining photos at my friend Kara’s wedding a few years back.
And last but not least, here’s a priceless shot from my very own bachelorette party at Lucky Cheng’s in New York City in 2012.
Now, who’s excited?
