I’m three days late with this month’s editor’s letter. My excuse is that it’s actually been really nice out the last few days so I haven’t wanted to sit inside and type. (Also, I was going to do it Sunday, and Saturday night I went to a really fun wedding. So Sunday, not as productive as I’d hoped).
But back to the weather. Boston in the summer is kind of like that show that was on Bravo, “100 Days of Summer.” Those people might have been in Chicago, but having lived in both places, I can say that the mentality here is the same. We’ve basically been inside since October, so when it’s 80 and sunny, watch out. We’re like eight year olds at recess.
So this month, our focus on L&C is “get out there.” Get out there and try something new. Take a day trip. Get drunk on a patio. Just do fun stuff. It’s finally summer, and dammit, we deserve it.
