The weekend is finally here! It’s weird that even after a short week, the work week still seems to drag by. So, after working for the weekend, you shouldn’t have to put in extra effort to have a fun Friday happy hour, Saturday patio sit, or Sunday brunch cocktail. With mixology growing in popularity, it’s tough to find unique but easy cocktail recipes that will impress your guests without costing you an arm and a leg. We have your back though! We found a truly simple solution to cocktail making you will want to add to your bar cart ASAP…
If you haven’t heard of it yet, bookmark Owl’s Brew in your future grocery orders. It’s a tea-based cocktail mixer that takes all the work and question out of making mixed drinks and cocktails. Each flavor pairs with a wide range of hard alcohol, spirits, champagne, wine and even beer, so one bottle has a wide range of uses. Plus it has 1/3 or less calories of comparable cocktails because it is fresh brewed with real herbs, spices and fruits.
Each bottle has it’s own flavor, and comes with it’s own recommended pairing, so all you have to do is mix with alcohol for your desired amount of sweetness or kick. Let’s get cocktailing!
The Classic: Fresh brewed English breakfast tea with lemon peel, lemon and lime juice. Essentially, I plan on using this with everything and anything, especially for our upcoming second annual “Adult Spring Break” party.
Pairs well with: Vodka, Tequila, Gin, Whiskey, White Wine or Wheat Beer
White and Vine: Fresh brewed white tea with watermelon, pomegranate and lemon. This is the sweetest one we tried, perfect for a summer brew or brunch cocktail.
Pairs well with: Tequila, Bourbon, Gin, White Wine or Wheat Beer
Pink and Black: Fresh brewed Darjeeling tea with hibiscus, strawberry and lemon peel. This makes what we like to call “porch pounders,” perfect for a long afternoon in the sun.
Pairs well with: Whiskey, Tequila, Gin, Amber Ale, Red Wine or White Wine
Wicked Green: Fresh brewed green tea with lemon, lime and habanero. It provides a little bit of heat, with just the right amount of sweet to balance it out.
Pairs well with: Tequila, Vodka, Gin, Mezcal and IPA
