January is dark, it’s cold, and it’s snowy, which, more than any other month of the year, makes January a perfect candidate for “National Couch Potato Month,” or “National Netflix Marathon Month,” or “National Order Takeout Every Night So You Don’t Have to Go Outside Month.”
But, instead, January has somehow become,”National Let’s All Make Lofty Fitness Goals Month.” Which is ridiculous, but here we are. So, it’s only natural that when your alarm rings at 5:30 in the morning in the month of January, you want to roll over and hit snooze for an hour instead of getting up. Because it’s dark outside. And it’s 9 degrees out there.
To help keep us all motivated to stick with our fitness resolutions for 2014, last week, we put together a list of 10 of our favorite workout classes in Boston, all of which are more fun than the stair master. But, if that’s isn’t enough to get you motivated, the fact that you get to wear a cute new outfit to your fun new workout class miiight just be enough to hit the gym.
