October is known for Halloween and autumn activities, but it’s also Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and there are a slew of events to promote the great cause in the Windy City. But there is one charity near and dear to us in Chicago: Tickled Pink for Bright Pink in Chicago. This amazing group of women, who recently partnered with Bright Pink to further benefit the breast cancer awareness cause, are hosting the event of the month at one of our favorite city spots: Public House Chicago.
In it’s second year, Public House and Tickled Pink are throwing “Barley’s Angels,” a female-friendly beer tasting in effort to raise awareness and money for breast cancer. The night of fun is also hosted by CS Magazine, and takes place on October 21st starting at 6 pm, and everyone is excited about the upcoming festivities!
“Public House was nice enough to reach out about partnering on this awesome event,” enthuses Tickled Pink founder Jodi Fyfe. “They got us pumped up for this event and we can’t wait!”
The partnership is a fun and beneficial one for the Chicago gastrobar, which will be sampling “girly” beers in addition to healthy bites created by the Public House culinary team, and the charity, which was started by Fyfe after she lost her cousin Carrie to breast cancer.
Public House promises this is a “perfect philanthropic night out with girlfriends,” and Fyfe can’t wait to meet all of the inspiring women who will be in attendance. And of course, taste the beer! Fyfe says Steigl Grapefruit Radler is her favorite because she “loves this refreshing, light and low alcohol beer.”
Not to mention there will be fashion to boot! Local lifestyle vendors will be onsite to mix & mingle with guests and TheStylisted will be onsite providing complimentary makeup & hair touch-ups.
You can also walk away with great raffle prizes from Flywheel, Exhale Spa, KIND, Shred415, Equinox, Pure Barre and more. But, win or lose, everyone leaves with a goodie bag complete with free class passes to our favorite Chicago studios, some KIND goodies and more.
And Tickled Pink is celebrating it’s tenth year so they’re planning to do something each month leading up to their big fundraiser on February 15th, so keep checking their Facebook page for more event information.
