There are ten days left before the end of 2013, and that means there is still time to find the best party in the Windy City! Though there are a plethora of festivities to attend, we are narrowing down some of our favorites for the perfect New Years Eve – no matter what your style!
Escape the frigid winter temperatures by visiting Bub City’s country bar! With a live performance by Shawn Lancy and a BBQ feast that includes prime rib and chicken fried oysters, this is the perfect fun spot to ring in the new year in Southern style. And tickets are only $25!
For another great party without the crazy price tag, LUXBAR is the perfect nighttime event. This is “the place” for delicious craft cocktails from Bartender Matthew “Choo” Lipsky (a Lux and Concord favorite). And thanks to TVs, even Windy City partiers can watch the ball drop live in New York. Plus, all guests will receive party favors and enjoy a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Who doesn’t love free champagne?!
The J Parker is one of my favorite spots in the city and their New Years Eve party includes appetizers from the amazing Chef Paul Virant, a premium drink package, party favors and (of course) sparkling wine at midnight. Not to mention one of the best view’s of Chicago!
For a traditional Chicago New Years Eve, grab a ticket to the Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier. With a great view of the fireworks at midnight, and a massively beautiful event space, this spot is perfect for a large group looking to have a good time! There will be DJs and plenty of open bar stations on hand to ensure fun and fancy.
The Thompson Hotel Chicago is also gearing up for the big evening, but with a more intimate vibe for the night. For you and seven of your closest friends, they are providing the most upscale and exclusive night in town. Your day will start with a shopping expedition, complete with your own personal stylist, which will conclude with in-room manicures, pedicures and blow-outs. Then the evening really kicks off with a champagne reception and custom, four-course dinner by celebrity chef Paul Kahan. More champagne comes at midnight, but our favorite part is the New Years Day in-room massage! Though this is an investment ($15,000 for the group of eight) it will surely be a New Years Eve to remember! For reservations, call (312) 266-2100 and mention “New Year’s Package.”
