Thanksgiving is fast approaching and we in Chicago have a lot to be thankful for this November! There are so many fun upcoming events for those who love food and clothes and good times.
You can check out the new luxury outlet mall in Rosemont, or take a lesson from a Top Chef…have a ladies night surrounded by jewels, or just celebrate gluten-free month in style!
This Thursday, November 14th is Ladies Night at Cy Fredrics Jewelers. The family jeweler is celebrating its 55th anniversary with a stylish evening filled with sparkle and glamour, including a special appearance by Dana Gordon, founder & designer of Dana Rebecca Designs jewelry line. Get in line to get your shine on!

Then this weekend, as with every weekend, Chicagoans can hitch a ride to the Fashion Outlets of Chicago in Rosemont. Courtesy of Prasino, a Chicago restaurant chain with locations throughout the city, including at Rosemont, dedicated shoppers can pick up a shuttle from their Wicker Park restaurant and take the jaunt to the outlets. With brunch and small plates as options at both Parsino locations, and plenty of shopping time on the weekends, this is a great way to spend a day!
Contact the restaurant or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Next Sunday, right in time for Thanksgiving, Fabio Viviani of Top Chef fame will be cooking up a delicious brunch for guests at Siena Tavern. On Sunday, November 24th Siena will undoubtedly be packed to the breaking point with patrons looking to sample the chef’s delicious pasta and famous bamboloni (Italian donuts).
And the nom-fest is also for a good cause! For each ticket sold, one of the restaurant’s famous meatballs will be donated to The Franciscan Outreach Association; currently acting as one of the largest providers for the homeless population in Chicago.
Tickets are almost sold out, so get them here FAST!
And all November long, gluten-free month will be celebrated throughout Chicago, with special dishes available at restaurants like Siena Tavern and Prasino (mentioned in this piece) and many more! Be sure to ask your servers if there are any new gluten free menu items, and you might be surprised how tasty they can be! Or, just go for the pasta (above) every time like I do.
