Does Chicago have some seriously stylish women or WHAT? It seems like every time we go on Instagram we’re stumbling across some local new girl-crush we had no idea even existed . Which is fine with us because it makes things way more fun. While there are plenty of super-chic bloggers out there, we’ve also discovered some amazingly-dressed Here are a few of our favorites, in no particular order.
Jennifer Lake, @JenniferLake
Jen made a name for herself in Chicago originally as a vice president of the PR firm Zapwater, but she’s shot to national ‘gram fame as a fashion blogger on her site Style Charade. Her outfits are bold, colorful, and always elegant: Think, what Kate Middleton would wear if she wasn’t worried about offending the queen.
Bridget White, @Bridget_White
Bridget works for the luxury consignment shop E-Drop Off, and it’s pretty clear that her time spent digging through past seasons of Chanel and Celine have worn off on her. She’s the ultimate cool girl.
Liz Adams, @LizAdams
Liz is one of the OGs of the Chicago fashion blogger scene, and there’s a reason she continues to be a top betch. Her style is put together and fierce, but not in a “we totally know you only wore that outfit for 8 minutes while your husband took your pic and then you put your yoga pants back on,” kind of way. She wears real outfits that you can copy for real life.
Shai Chung, @DrunkonShoes
Shai’s all about neutrals, leather, denim, and fur, and her layered style is essentially how we’d dress is we had unlimited funds and weren’t so addicted to comfortable footwear.
Megan Jedlinksi, @MeganJedlinksi
As a wardrobe editor, it’s basically Megan’s job to be well-dressed and spread style to the masses. And she really does kick ass at her job. Megan’s wardrobe strategy is all about buying and mixing simple, classic, well-tailored pieces, and she’s also currently schooling pregnant women everywhere on how to dress while expecting.
Monika Dixon, @MonikaDixon
She’s a mom and she owns her own public relations firm, but she somehow manages to look like she’s on her way to the Cannes Film Festival or dinner with a Kardashian. She has a sexy, simple, edgy style that’s challenging MILFs everywhere to step their game up.
Tali Kogan, @TaliKogan
Tali Kogan has made a name for herself as a brand ambassador for Israeli fashion labels trying to break into the American market, and her razor sharp sense of style makes it easy to see why emerging designers consider her a fashion influencer. The good news: not all of her outfit ideas are from hard-to-find lines. She also rocks plenty of Zara, Akira, Current Elliot, and lots of other mass market brands that will help you steal her style.
Kelly Larkin, @KellyIntheCity
If preppy is your jam, Kelly is your fearless leader. She’s got a thing for plaids, Patagonia, and Pulitzer (Lilly, of course) but she also isn’t afraid to mix in bold, high-fashion pieces that make her style fresh and unique. She’s also another new mom that proves you can be fabulous with a family.
Samantha Berngard, @Cuddles1234
Sam is a Chi-lebrity for her work in media and events, and is a universal girl-crush among the city’s style aficionados. The best part about Sam’s Instagram feed: it’s pretty much all candid, which means she is actually this cool in real life. Bonus: her two kids are probably the best-dressed littles in the city.
Helen Berkun, @
She’s a fashion photographer, but Helen Berkun is about as camera-worthy as any model or blogger we’ve seen. Her outfits are on-trend and fun, whether she’s at a fancy event or twinning with one of her adorable kids (see below).
Jessica Sturdy, @BowsandSequins
Another blogger, we love Jessica because she’s constantly surprising us. Her style also skews towards preppy, feminine looks, but then she’ll come out of nowhere with the freshest rose gold Nike sneakers we’ve ever seen, or some OTK boots that take a frilly dress to sexy new heights.
Jena Gambaccini, @ChiCityFashion
No list would be complete without the girl who made Chicago fashion her M.O. Jena is truly an original when it comes to style, and her closet is a covetable mix of Proenza Schouler, Acne, Alexander Wang, Ellery, Dries Van Noten, and basically every other indie and super-hip fashion label you can think of.
