Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall – F. Scott Fitzgerald
That man knew his stuff. September was a month chalk full of travels, fashion and activities and a whole new outlook on life for the fall. It was quite busy, and we are looking forward to an even busier October! Until then, take a look back with us at the month that was…
Nicole is busy exploring her new city, and boy did she live the Big Apple life right in September! She lived every girls’ dream and attended New York Fashion Week shows (Carrie Bradshaw would be so proud). Two shows she loved were the Lela Rose and Sally LaPointe shows. So, she has some insider info for this season and next:
She saw lots of yellow, and instead of the off the shoulder that was huge this season, the coming spring will be all about the one shoulder cutout. Also, instead of a classic slim trench, this season ans the next sees a very utilitarian look with big buckles and a larger silhouette.
While Nicole was off living our fashion dreams, Ali and I lived what I think would have been a wonderful honeymoon if only one of us had been Liam Hemsworth (sorry Ales, maybe next time) For us, it was a girls trip to Tulum, which involved lots of margaritas, a day spent with turtles, and (you guessed it) lots of photos. Ali broke down all the pretty moments on her travel guide here, but you only get the “prettiest” when you go behind the scenes.
I also lived out a personal Bucket List item by eating pizza WHILE HOLDING A PUPPY. Basically how Ali feels about spicy margs and turtles (again, see her post) that’s how I feel about puppies and pizza. Plus, it was in the name of blogging, thanks to Puppies Make Me Happy and my own happy puppy lady, who loaned me that gorgeous fluff ball for a photo.
All in all, not a bad month for the L&C team. Hopefully October lives up to the standard last month set!
Sneak peak: We’re loving all things pumpkin before Halloween, especially the Pumpkin Enzyme Peel Facial at The Spa at Trump. It smells like fall and feels like heaven….more to come!
