In the last six years, I’ve lived in New York City, Chicago, Boston, and Seattle. While these cities are truly spread out all over the country, they have one important thing in common that makes them all feel like home: Terrible weather. Whether it’s Boston’s record-breaking snow, the wind tunnels of Chicago, or the overcast skies in Seattle, I’m almost constantly faced with new challenges when it comes to protecting my skin, hair, and lips from the elements.
Among my go-to arsenal of products I’ve put together over the last few years has been Vaseline’s Lip Therapy. It’s one of the few products that actually stay put on my lips and doesn’t seem to absorb or wear off too quickly. The only draw back to me was that I had to stick my finger into the little tub … something that made it an off limits product if my fingers were buried in three pairs of matters or I’d just spent the last 20 minutes holding onto a subway pole. The good news? Vaseline just debuted the product in new, finger-dipping free packaging: shallow tins that make it possible to apply with your fingers, or just rubbing it on your lips.
The best part is that these little tins are about $3.50 and can be found at most major drugs and grocery stores, so you can keep one in the pocket of every coat in your closet (because if you live in any of my favorite cities, you probably have at least half-a-dozen and you’ll probably be wearing them ’til May).
