You may be the cleanest person and wash your face twice a day, but sometimes your face just need a little bit of a pick-me-up. Every skin-type needs a little extra tender-loving care, and good ‘ole soap and water won’t cut it. That’s where sheet masks come in! These mini-facials are perfect for the busy, millennial woman. Unlike a mask from a bottle, that you slather on your face then have to wash off later, sheet masks often require as little as three steps (open package, put mask on and take off your face). Sheet masks have also been making waves in the beauty community recently due to a growing love for Korean facial-care products (the best sheet masks are said to be by Korean brands). These masks for every kind of person, within every price range, and they leave your skin feeling oh-so-GOOD.
We’ve compiled a list of really great sheet masks that may become your new obsession, so you’re welcome in advance.
These masks feel good on your face while you’re wearing it AND when they come off; it’s just an overall great sheet mask experience. The mask is made with a coconut gel (as the name suggests), and that alone is reason enough to use these. But also the fact that this line comes in SEVEN different masks to cater to the same number of skin types is just amazing. Whether you’re looking to calm, brighten or moisturizer your skin, Leaders has one for you. Worth. It.
This mask was so cool and soothing. The “1000 Roses” that the package promises made it smell so good and induced relaxation with just that. But also with it’s soft tingling feels, it did the trick of just letting my head fall back and chill. I felt fresh before and after and my skin came away feeling silky smooth. This is one of the more expensive sheet masks you can find at Target, but it’s price tag isn’t too bad.
I let my sister judge this one. She’s 17, yet has tried almost all the sheet masks Target has to offer, but this is one she hasn’t used in the past. She considers herself an expert because of this and said this Alba Botanica mask was a really good one. Due to the fact that it was very moist it stayed on very well and was able to adhere to the face perfectly with very few air bubbles. She said it was very soothing and tingled just enough to remind you it was there. This was one that definitely felt higher end than the others.
One of the least expensive sheet masks you can buy, this Yes To Tomatoes mask is still a good one. The Yes To brand is one of my go-tos, and works even if you’re in between acne breakouts. This one in particular works great as an acne fighting mask or just as a soothing remedy. There isn’t a ton of tingling, just a little more at the end. It definitely leaves a sticky residue, but it’s not much different than the rest of them in terms of stickiness.
I’m sure you’ve seen these animal masks on social media; they’re a fun way to get clean and take some really cute snapchats in the meantime. It had a cooling effect and wasn’t tingly at all. This is definitely a sheet mask meant to be fast, cute and for fun. It was a bit refreshing and probably cleaned my face (it wasn’t super wet so there’s not too much residue at the end).
I’ve never tried gold-infused anything, this mask was a great first product to do so. This mask promises to restore and brighten and it definitely delivered. It didn’t tingle at all and was cool the whole time, but there is one big drawback to these: the gold liquid that is in this mask. Most masks will come in packets with leftover liquid from the mask (that’s what soak the mask and leaves it with gel or oils that do their job on your face). This one had a gold-colored formula that got on my white shirt and dripped onto my hands from just putting it on. It’s not a major turn off, but something to look out for. The “24k Gold” also made me feel a bit bougie.
Most of these were bought at Target but they can also be found at Ulta and online!
