New York Fashion Week came and left us dreaming of sunny Spring days wearing floral mini dresses and to die for Spring jackets. But why wait a whole six months to wear these trends, why not rock them now! We put together a list of our favorite looks that you can wear right now, even in this crisp Boston weather.
1. Crop Tops
Crop tops were all over the runway this season. Everyone from Tracy Reese, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and Peter Som were giving crop tops their moment to shine. We suggest wearing this look now with a high-waisted skirt or high-waisted trousers for a more season appropriate look.
The Rag and Bone show was a flashback to our favorite 90’s trend with this white overall look. While white overalls are definitely a Spring must have, pick a darker hue and a more Fall appropriate texture, like corduroy, to layer with your favorite Fall basics and you’re good to go!
Rachel Zoe and Michael Kors both showed floral mini dresses for their Spring collections. But who says you can’t wear your favorite floral dresses now? Throw on a pair of dark tights and a blazer and you have the perfect casual look for a day of shopping with your besties.
White was the color of the runway last week as designers like Rachel Zoe, Thakoon, Carolina Herrera, and Victoria Beckham all showed white on white looks. While we aren’t suggesting breaking that “no white after Labor Day” rule just yet, if you pair a crisp white top with some black leather skinnies and a statement coat you can still get the same chic effect as the look above!
